Since our founding, The Riding School, LLC  has introduced young people to the joy of riding and caring for horses and ponies. 

 

Specializing in the English riding discipline of Hunt Seat, we provide a wide range of instruction to young and first time riders as well as intermediate to advanced lessons for those with more time in the saddle.   Students, ages 8 & up are taught the fundamentals of horse handling, grooming, safety and tacking up their mount.  Horse Care Workshops, Level I & II are offered throughout the year and students can expand their knowledge of horse care to include health care, feeding, conditioning, shoeing, choosing equipment, training basics and more.

The Riding School operates year-round in the comfort of our indoor arena. We have an outdoor arena too which we enjoy on good weather days in the spring, summer and fall.

To learn about our school, consider booking an Orientation Lesson.  This one hour lesson covers safe handling, leading, grooming and tacking up. You and your child will have a chance to meet the instructor, experience the teaching style, and decide if you'd like to subscribe to one of our monthly lesson programs.  

Children ages, 3 - 7 are welcome to participate in a Lead Line session. We offer either a private session for the youngest riders, and Mom & Me classes for kids, ages 4 - 7.   Please visit the Mom & Me page for more information.

Horse Owners are invited to join us for riding lessons. We'll gladly provide you with "tune-up" instruction to help you and your horse prepare for hunter competitions. For pleasure riders, we can give you new ideas or techniques for your regular riding and training.
